By most any measure, the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED program has been an extremely successful market transformation program.  In just its first four years, LEED has grown by over 1,000 percent in both registered and certified buildings.  Nearly 5% of all new commercial construction projects have registered to build to the LEED standard in that time!
